Update from the Smokies Workshop

Internet access has been sporadic, at best, here so I am just now getting a chance to update.

It was a great morning on Sparks Lane in Cades Cove.  Beautiful sunrise and the dogwoods are very, very nice right now.  Mornings like this are easy, because everyone in the groups gets great, great stuff.

Here's one of my shots from this morning.  Taken with the Sony A7R, Metabones EOS Adapter and Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Lens.  Of course I used my tripod, a Vanguard Abeo 284 AT with BBH-200 Ballhead.

I shot this at F/16, ISO 100 and a shutter speed of 1/4 second.  I was also zoomed out to 70mm on this lens.  One of the reasons I use this lens all of the time now is because of this versatility.  I was able to quickly take wide shots at 24mm and then zoom in to 70mm for tighter shots like this one.

Mother Nature did most of the work this morning...but I did work hard at breakfast time ;)
